SlashFilm reported screenwriter/author Blake Snyder passed away on Tuesday August 4th of cardiac arrest. Blake was best know for writing two really good books on screenwriting:

I just finished reading Save The Cat. It is simply a phenomenal book and absolutely the last one I’ll ever need on screenwriting, just as promised.
I am so sorry to hear of author Blake Snyer’s passing. He’s awesome.
